Have I ever told you the story of…
Ashley was working in Epcot one of the days I was there, and I was such a great photographer back then, that my camera was filling up with photos faster than the Wi-Fi could whisk them away, so I had a lot of downtime, letting my shots upload. I met this girl and she started casually quoting Harry Potter nerdery, mentioning her Chemistry degree, and telling me she had a pet hedgehog named after her favorite chemical (hint: it’s on the home page). So, I naturally did what any guy searching would do — scouted her out on social media and waited almost three weeks to actually ask her out. I think it worked out okay.
Aaron was having camera troubles during one of his first shifts at Disney. He was on the phone with someone who was helping him when I loudly came into the breakroom talking about Father Christmas. Of course, he was taken aback by my very emphatic declaration of love for the jolly old man, but I must have done something right because he kept suddenly having more camera troubles on all my other breaks, too. We talked about all sorts of nerdy topics throughout the day. It was the best gift that Father Christmas could have ever given me.

We had planned an elaborate joke on our engaged friends, Ryan and Monica: a “date” for April Fools’ Day that would culminate in our own fake engagement, soon announcing that we were getting married the month before their wedding. Ashley and I were both so ready to be pranksters, but Ashley didn’t realize she was actually the one being pranked.

Aaron — after meeting me and then not talking to me for two weeks — finally gained the courage to ask me out. Even though he claimed he wanted to go see Fantastic Beasts, he really wanted to see me and needed an excuse after not talking to me for two weeks. I didn’t know it was a date until much later.

I’d been around a little while, and knew a number of her coworkers, but I’d never seen her. She had a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, and her pet hedgehog was named after her favorite chemical. I’m pretty sure that’s where she had me hooked. I wanted to know more about this mystery girl.
